Elton Edwards is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a medical practice based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Elton is also a consulting Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Alfred Hospital, playing an integral role in the trauma department.

Elton oversees the Musculoskeletal Research Program at the National Trauma Research Institute (NTRI) as well as being a chief investigator for the Victorian Orthopaedic Trauma Outcomes Registry (VOTOR).

The Orthopaedic Trauma Outcomes Registry is a comprehensive registry and database of orthopaedic injuries, treatment, complications and outcomes based on admissions to both Adult Level 1 Trauma Centres.

Elton is a Senior Examiner and member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA), as well as being an active member of the Australian Medical Association (AMA). Elton also assisted in the drafting of the specialist trauma transfer guidlines in the Review of Trauma and Emergency Services 1999: Final Report (see here).
